Awards Program for 2006
FIU announced this week the Faculty Research Awards Program
for 2006. Faculty research is a primary objective
of the University; this year’s program has been funded
at $225,000, through combined resources from the Provost
and the FIU.
For 2006, the Office of the Provost and the FIU Foundation
are coming together to fund research projects submitted
by eligible faculty, tenured and tenure-earning, with the
purpose of advancing research at the University. Awards
of up to $25,000 will be considered for projects conducted
for a period of up to 12 months.
Please review this year's guidelines carefully as new
information has been added to accommodate for a streamlined
submission process. To access this year's guidelines

click on FACULTY RESEARCH AWARDS 2006 under "What's
New." Awards will be made upon merit following
peer review.
The deadline for receipt of all research proposals is
5:00 pm on Monday, March 6, 2006.
Award announcements are anticipated to be made by mid-April
2006.
