The estimate for research expenditures at ARC is $9.7 million in the fiscal year 2007 to 2008, up $3.1 million from the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007. ARC is anticipating several awards from proposals submitted to the Department of Defense totaling $3.4 million, and approximately $4 million from the Department of Energy; these two federal agencies represent the core funding for the Center. Additional sponsors contributing to this book of work include the Federal Aviation Administration, Howard University, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, TRAX International, South Florida Water Management District, Montgomery Watson, Universal Data Consultants, Army Research Office, US Army, Raytheon, Jacobs Engineering Group, VTEQE Environmental Corp., AMEC Earth and Environmental Inc., Bell Helicopter, Ball Aerospace, US Army War College, BOEING, Battelle Memorial Institute and Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).
